The Grocer Kitchen is an independent cafe and takeaway situated 5 minutes from beautiful Bath city-centre. All of our products are fresh and locally sourced. We are passionate about food, and cook it simply to order.
During March 2020 we had to close due to the pandemic and are reopening again as Grocer Kitchen.
The cafe itself will be reopening in the spring 2021 in line with covid restrictions.

Our Beginning
The Grocer on Locksbrook opened in October 2011 with the idea of providing the community with locally sourced groceries, yummy food, good coffee, and drinks.
Shabazz had to extend the garden to her front lawn but even then, it wasn’t enough to feed all who wanted to be involved. With neighbors January Blum and Lucas Dupont, Shabazz found a large vacant lot on Main Street and secured it as a farming cooperative. Word about Project Sprout spread throughout Kent County, so the team was invited to help start other community gardens.
